I ❤ Makeup Brow

Happy new year everyone! I have been AWOL for like quite a long time. I have been too busy with work (I know It’s no excuse) but I promised myself to pick-up whatever I’ve left behind.

So I’m starting off with this new brand (atleast for me) Makeup Revolution from their I ❤ ️Makeup I ❤️ Brow line.

There are two shades available and I picked up the 2nd darkest shade (I Woke Up This Groomed).

This brow palette contains a nice medium brown, taupe, and reddish brown shades which I think is perfect for my auburn hair color as well as a wax to shape your brow hairs. This also contains a small angled brow brush (perfect for product application) and a mini tweezer which is totally useless. Well…you can’t have everything right?

Application is good for filling out sparse areas which gives you a more natural finish as you can see above (Left with, Right without).

Staying power is okay but if you use a brow pencil under this would last you all day.

1. Nice color pay-off.
2. Good brush applicator.
3. Lasts up to 8 hours or longer just as long as you avoid touching your brows.

1. Tweezer that comes with it is a total bugger.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Face Shop Round Brush

The Face Shop 01 round mini brush is the brand’s newst makeup tool from the flawless line. At first glance, it actually looker like Shiseido’s perfection brush sans the pricetag.

The handle has the right length for easier handling and steady application.

It has a slanted flat top to easily reach the crevices of the face.

The brush is densely packed so better be careful on picking up product as it tends to soak in products into its bristles. A trick that I do to make sure that I apply just the right amount, I dot on foundation or BB cream on my face, the I buff it into my skin with the brush for a flawless makeup look that works everrytime.

The fine pin-like bristle helps blend in product to the skin and evens out skin surface.

K-Palette 1-Day Lash Perm

The K-palette Lash Perm mascara lengthens lashes without clumps. It has a curl-keep-polymer that keeps lashes curls perfectly throughout the day! It’s a film-type mascara, which can be easily removed with lukewarm water without having to rub your delicate eye area…which I love. This comes with 4 beauty essences (panthenol, hydrolyze silk, red algae, and swertia herb) that cares for your lashes while creating an impressive curl and length.

The ideal brush length and inner bow-shaped brush curve sweep lashes in an upward curl instantly. The shorter brush bristles at the side is able to reach the root of lashes easily! It has a fine tip that makes it easy to coat short lashes and inner corner of the eyes.

Here’s a photo taken on our company’s Christmas party. Even though the picture is somewhat grainy, you can still see how my lashes were defined and it really kept my lashes permed up all night.

Elf Eyelid Primer

Don’t you feel euphoric when you discover great dupes of high end or pricier brands? That’s what I felt when I discovered about a dupe for Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. And yes you guessed it right….it’s one the great drugstore brand, Elf eye primer.

This goodie cost only 129Php, which is way more cheaper than its counterpart.

This comes with a doe-foot applicator which is great for applying the product on your lids.

Swatching the product on my hands, it goes on smoothly and is opaque in color, but turns sheer when spread evenly.

I swatched eyeshadow on the left side (without primer) and on the right side (with primer). You can obviously see that eyeshadow applied on the right gives out more pigmented color. I’ve tested this product for a couple of days now and it really did justice. I’ve been in search for a primer for some time now and this primer really is a score. My lids kinda get oily by the end of the day that shadow gets crease and sometimes slides off everywhere. I’m so glad when I used this product as my eyeshadow stayed on the whole day and did not crease at all. I also find that it helped my eyeliner not wash off as the day went on.

My final verdict….awesome primer for a very affordable price that really held on whatever I put on my lids, at least for me. If you have combination skin then you definitely should try this.

Clinique Lash Power Volumizing Mascara

Last Sept. 20, 2012, Clinique had a great mascara swap. Everyone is entitled to exchange their empty, expired, and old mascara with a 3-week supply of Clinique’s Lash Power Mascara. Redemption areas/counters were announced on Clinique’s Facebook page. Redemption time was from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.

Me and my sister went to Rustan’s Gateway. We were there at exactly 2:00 pm (eager beaver). We gave the beauty consultant that day our abused mascara and then we were asked to choose between the lengthening and volumizing mascara, and we chose the latter.

Once I got home, I immediately tested my stash and it did not fail to amaze me.

Here’s a pic without the mascara….

And here’s with just one coat of mascara….

Isn’t it nice??? It really added volume and defined my lashes. It made my eyes look open and awake. I’m definitely gonna buy this when I finished the sampler.

Charm Travel Pro V3 Makeup Brush Set

Two weeks ago I received my Charm Travel Pro 14-piece brush set. It’s just now that I was able to review this goodies as I have to test it out first. You see…before I recommend or comment on something I would test it out for a week or so.

The makeup brush set comes in this box, which is screaming travel by its design.

The back of the box says…

“Get spoiled with our luxurious Charm Travel Pro, as your take-me-with-you anywhere brush set promising professional results! The brushes are housed in this faux croc skin pouch with hot pink interior. Isn’t it lovely? I goshed when I first laid my eyes on this. The set consists of…..

Stippling Brush. I love this to bits. Sorry if its a little stained coz I immediately tested this. I have been reading a lot of good reviews on this so I had to experience it myself (excited much). You can use this on liquid or cream foundation and this amazingly gives out an airbrush finish…kyaaaah!

Powder Brush. You can use this brush to apply blush at the apples of your cheeks and you can also use this to apply loose powder allover your face. This brush is so soft, you don’t have to worry about it tagging your skin.

Angled Brush. This brush can be used in applying your contour powder. I love that its angled shape fits the c
hollow of your cheeks perfectly. It can also double as a blush brush for applying colors at the side of your face.

Foundation Brush. This perfect for applying liquid and cream foundation and blush. It gives out a flawless finish without any streaks.

Big Eyeshadow/Concealer Brush. This brush is great for packing on eyeshadow to your lids. This can also be used to apply your liquid or cream concealer…talking about double purpose neh…..

Wet/Dry Eyeshadow Brush. This is great if you want to intensify your eyeshadow color. All you have to do is spray the brush with water and dip it onto your favorite eyeshadow color.

Angled Crease Brush. This brush is used for defining your eyes as the angled shape fits the crease area perfectly.

Definer Brush. This is perfect for applying color on the outer V of your eyes for a more defined look.

Fluffy Shading Brush. A great tool for buffing out harsh edges and blending out color.

Flat Liner/Push Brush. This is used for applying powder liner on your lashes and defining your eyes.

Bent Liner Brush. This is used with gel liner for creating that perfect cat eye look.

Angled Brow Brush. This is perfect for filling in sparse spaces on your brows with powder.

Eyebrow Spooly. This is used for combing unruly brow in place.

Lip Brush. This is used for applying lip color perfectly.

This brush set is so compact and complete that it is great for traveling. You can easily stash it inside your bag and go to wherever your destination is.
